Now, I'm not sticking up for anyone here, but I'd like to point out that not one of these people or their followers has pointed out that @jack reference to Satanic Verses may been about this very popular, award winning book. Not one word.

So to sum it up. Jack is being chastised for using the term "the satanic verses" - "pasta" - "the (golden) threads begin to intertwine" which is likely a reference to angle hair pasta boiling in the pot.
I'd sue them.
