Let’s talk about the covid timeline vis à vis Bill Barr, the human coronavirus wreaking havoc on the Justice Dept & our republic.

1/ By 11 February 2020, it was pretty clear that AG Barr had launched an assault on the rule of law, and made a mockery of the DOJ:
2/ On 12 Feb 2020, a week after Trump’s acquittal in the sham impeachment trial, Barr accepted an invitation to appear before the House Judiciary Committee, to discuss the shenanigans surrounding the Roger Stone sentencing. The day settled on was 31 March.
3/ Even at the time, 31 March seemed like the distant future. As I wrote at PREVAIL back then: “Barr should be subpoenaed to testify immediately, and if he refuses, he needs to be punished. Period. Lock him up. Fine him brutally. Take away his fucking money.”
4/ The next day, 13 February, Senator Richard Burr sold about $1m in stocks. Senator Kelly Loeffler had already begun unloading her shares; she started that on 24 January.

5/ By 12 February, there were numerous cabinet meetings and warnings about covid from the CDC, from the IC, from State, and so on.

Are we to believe that Barr was somehow unaware of the outbreak in Wuhan & ignorant of the alarm bells? Please.
6/ One of the many byproducts of the pandemic was this (h/t @RussellSieg):

7/ And now Barr seeks to exacerbate the public health crisis:
8/ Is this man, allegedly a Catholic, conniving enough, cynical enough, SINISTER enough, to have anticipated the pandemic and schemed to exploit it—even as Americans die? Is he evil enough to WANT a higher body count, if that means delay in his testimony & Trump’s reckoning?
All available evidence suggests that the answer is yes. Barr is the antichrist, so of course he’s fine with apocalypse.

1/ Why the Dem freakout after the debate? We are all traumatized by 2016, and Biden's performance in the debate triggered our collective trauma. "No! Not again!" Hence the panic.
2/ Where does the panic come from? Is it fear that Joe can't do the job? No. Because we know he can. He's done it for 3.5 years at the highest possible level. The government is in good hands with Joe/Kamala. No worries there. None.

Alito's comments here are similar to remarks made by Rev. C. John McCloskey, Opus Dei priest and spiritual godfather to the Catholic extremist Leonard Leo cabal, to Charles Pierce 21 years ago. He, too, regarded the so-called culture wars as a Manichean struggle.

1/ It is the night before Veteran’s Day, 2021. On his primetime Fox News program, Tucker Carlson argues that the U.S. should back Russia, and not Ukraine, in the escalating conflict between the two countries. “Why would we take Ukraine’s side and not Russia’s side?”
2/ He insists that choosing Putin’s dictatorship over Zelensky’s democracy is a no-brainer because of “energy reserves.” This is either breathtaking ignorance of the region’s history or straight-up Kremlin propaganda. Or, I suppose, both.
