So many of the bright ideas for opening things up amount to a notion equivalent to "we can deal with mass shootings by telling the people who would get hit by bullets to stay home that day."

More of those young students will get sick and be robbed of weeks to months of their current lifestyle and possibly months or years of their life down the road.
And more than that will become invisible spreaders.

And the people who think we can replace contagion protocols with actuarial precogs think we can deal with the problem of invisible community transmission by just iterating the "isolate the vulnerable" but that means exponentially more young and healthy people sick and dying, too.
