@NORADCommand has tracked Iran's Noor military satellite marking the success of Iranian missile launch. The launch was nor a technical nor a policy surprise. In Feb. IRGC unveiled the Salman Thrust Vector (TVC) engine, while Gen.Salami has earlier signaled the policy change
Tehran is signaling its mastery in reaching 5000km (IRBMs) with the mobile launch (TEL). However, I assume it will not mass produce them now, rather will attempt to fine-tune technological aspects, working on logistical requirements of rapid operationalizing, & payload weight
I have argued since May 2019 that Tehran is working on the 3rd version of its military doctrine that includes more offensive missile forces with higher conventional firepower and impact range. Indeed, it is Gen.Salami's main mission.
I urged earlier that Iran’s missile break-out time to operationalize stockpile ranging greater than 2500 km could be shorter than what the U.S. anticipates. While the security environment surrounding Iran dictates the time to mass-produce.
