@lois_laniee @sat1 I would add: This is corroborated twice over. 1) A tape recorded conversation from Feb 2003 where Janet Arvizo said she left the ranch as she was annoyed at being kept from MJ & told to go home by Dieter. 2) Jesus Salas, who drove her that night, testified she told him the same.
@lois_laniee @sat1 Her story to cops and to the court was the literal opposite of what evidence showed. Contemporaneous evidence proved she stormed off the ranch in a huff at the suggestion she should go home. She testified she ‘escaped’ the ranch because she was being held there against her will.
@lois_laniee @sat1 The tape recording blew an enormous hole in the conspiracy charge. She and her kids were claiming they were being forcibly imprisoned at Neverland, and here was a tape recording from the time of her moaning about how insulted she was that she’d been asked to go home.
@lois_laniee @sat1 I can’t say it enough times: This was one of the absolute worst, goofiest, most nonsensical prosecution cases you could ever imagine. The entire case was like this. It was a complete farce.
@lois_laniee @sat1 What competent, objective prosecutor lets their star witnesses testify under oath that they orchestrated a daring escape from detention, when there exists a tape recording made literally hours after the incident of them moaning that they were actually *asked to leave*?
@lois_laniee @sat1 This is why whenever you seen an alleged journalist or expert claiming Jackson got acquitted because of his fame or money, you know immediately that they’re either a liar or an idiot. The case was an absolute shit show from top to bottom.
@lois_laniee @sat1 On this tape recording she repeatedly stated how much she loved Jackson, loved certain members of his team, considered them family, wanted to go on a trip to Brazil with them, but she’d left as she didn’t trust ‘the Germans’ who were keeping her from MJ & suggesting she go home.
@lois_laniee @sat1 Her subsequent story to cops & the court was that Jackson & the team members were falsely imprisoning her at this time, threatening her family, and trying to force her to go to Brazil against her will.

@lois_laniee @sat1 In the same recording, which she didn’t know was being made, she made several comments which she repeated almost verbatim a week later in the ‘rebuttal tape’ interview... an interview she then testified she had been forced to read from a script written by someone else.

@lois_laniee @sat1 Oh, forgot this nugget: on the same tape recording, Janet volunteers that when she got home, she had an idea & contacted social services, asking them to hand over records on how wonderfully MJ treated her kids, so she could give them to the media to help rebut the Bashir fallout.
@lois_laniee @sat1 Just to reiterate, she and her kids later testified, under oath, that at the time of this recording, they were on the run from MJ’s henchmen after period of imprisonment, during which they were being forced to defend MJ against their will.
