I teach physicians leadership. We talk about oaths and values and character of healthcare providers. While soldiers who enter the military know the possibility they may be asked to fight and die in defending our nation, most physicians do not think about that possibility 4/
But these unique circumstances - treating those during a deadly pandemic while putting their own lives on the line - certainly expands the requirement of professional action by our healthcare providers.
