ATTENTION: A picture is emerging—across 10 major-media investigative reports—of the COVID-19 outbreak in the U.S. as a bribery scandal in which Trump looked the other way on intel about the virus in November in order to placate Chinese lenders and get political dirt on Joe Biden.
I'll be writing more about this sometime soon, but the reports come from THE NEW YORK TIMES, THE WASHINGTON POST, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, FINANCIAL TIMES, THE TIMES OF ISRAEL, the chief White House correspondent for HUFFPOST, and others. It's major-media investigative reporting.

The Trump-China scandal is predicated on a mountain of evidence that Trump yet again gave preferential treatment—contrary to the interests of the US—to a hostile foreign leader from whom he sought both financial benefits (trademarks and rent) and a political benefit (Biden dirt).
Beyond the ample evidence I've already tweeted about is the inescapable fact that, throughout January, US intelligence told Trump he was being lied to by Chinese president Xi Jinping about the seriousness of the virus outbreak, and Trump believed Xi Jinping over *his own people*.
If this congressional inquiry is to have any legitimacy whatsoever, it must delve deeply into the byzantine business interconnections between Trump and Beijing and trace how those personal Trump family interests coincided in time with major policy decisions—including on COVID-19.

Even as you continue to upend your life to stay in quarantine, there are tens of thousands of Trumpists all over America who—at Trump's encouragement—are acting to EXTEND YOUR QUARANTINE by violating lawful stay-at-home orders and knowingly producing outbreaks around the country.
The level of righteous anger Americans should be expressing online for the actions of selfish, self-radicalized Trumpists is almost unfathomable. You would think that the most publicly reviled Americans would be those breaking orders we're all under just to hear themselves shout.
Many of these folks have legitimate economic anxieties—but they're the same anxieties tens of millions of Americans express from home via means that don't endanger others. There are ways to be peacefully and lawfully heard that don't involve prolonging everyone else's quarantine.
