Astrology from the Islamic world is pre-modern astrology which is derived from Hellenic, Persian, Mesopotamian, and Indian astrology and in turn influences medieval and Renaissance European astrology

modern astrology is the distant descendent of the pre-modern traditions
You can definitely see commonalities in some concepts and some techniques. But the orientation is different.

modern astrology is a product of a particular history (fortune telling laws and the rise of psychoanalysis) so it’s inward driven.

It can be quite self centered
pre modern astrology does some character analysis but is oriented around prognostication.

It worked within many elite circles (though also popular among some outside) and could be used to justify regimes and conquest
pre modern astrology also had many branches the most famous being natal, electional, world astrology, and interrogational

There has been a revival of some of these older practices in the past few decades under traditional astrology
modern astrology seems to seek to tell you about yourself as a form of self knowledge

premodern astrology was about revealing your place in the universe
All this said, I don’t study the history of modern astrology so there may be some oversimplification

Belief in angels is an article of faith in Islam. While the Qur’an only mentions a handful, Muhammad meets many angels during his night journey, a spiritual experience in which he traverses the heavens and is shown paradise and hell.

The Isra and Miraj describe an event in which Muhammad is guided from Mecca to Jerusalem and then raised up into the heavens where he meets the prophets of old and scores of angels.

Alluded to in the Qur’an, the narrative is filled out in the hadith and later commentary.
The night begins with the angel Jibrail coming to Muhammad. The angel purifies his heart and brings him before the celestial steed, buraq. Together they travel to Jerusalem and from there to the heavens.

In some narrations, Mikail assists in the purifying of Muhammad’s heart.
