Fun fact - my grandpa (mom's dad) was an MP in Paris during WWII and was sent on a mission one day to find out who was siphoning fuel out of Army convoys and selling it on the black market

So grandpa took two other soldiers and laid in wait. The perp showed up: a US soldier
Grandpa challenged the guy, ordered him to halt, but the dude wasn't having it and took off running

One of the other soldiers drew down on the guy with his M1 Garand - but had failed to charge it. Grandpa pulled out his .45 pistol and blew a hole in the guy's shoulder
Grandpa then tracked the guy into the metro tunnels along the Seine, following the blood. Caught him pretty quickly, rendered medical aid, & then stood witness at his trial

Lesson: don't steal mission critical stuff or a 140 lb Jewish kid from Brooklyn will shoot you with a .45
The kid on the left is him

And if you've seen grandpa, you've basically seen me. It's kind of uncanny
