@WhoWouldWin13 Both characters are Vietnam vets, and as such received lethal hand to hand combat training. However, while MacGyver was in a bomb disposal unit, Murdock was in a special forces unit called the A-Team, which later became a private militia. Special forces soldiers are better
@WhoWouldWin13 trained than regular troops, and this no doubt includes Hand to Hand combat training. Plus, though neither character is shown to kill in the era that their shows were being aired, if pushed, they could potentially kill, but Murdock would be more likely too than MacGyver. Indeed,
@WhoWouldWin13 MacGyver never uses guns (perhaps he was specially allowed not to use guns in the War. This did happen in real life with Desmond Doss, who served in WW2). Murdock doesn't have this same issue, using guns on several occasions. He will be more likely to go for a kill. However,
@WhoWouldWin13 MacGyver has experience fighting armed individuals and overcoming them, so this wont be much of a disadvantage.

Indeed, MacGyver will more than make up for it with his ingenuity, which surpasses even that of Murdock. Indeed, he is more sane as well (face it, Murdock Is kind of
@WhoWouldWin13 a loon), and mental health can hamper one's combat ability.

Thus, I conclude...
@WhoWouldWin13 MACGYVER OUTWITS, OUTPLAYS AND OUTLASTS MURDOCK!!!!!!!!!
