For several years, a politically diverse group of lawmakers has sponsored a bill to solve this problem.

(2/5) Now is the time to pass this bill before food shortages and wasting of animals become widespread. It’s called the PRIME Act, and it would allow farmers to sell food LOCALLY using small scale family owned processors.

(5/5) If your Representative & Senators aren’t sponsors of the PRIME Act, please call and ask them what their plans are for preventing coming meat shortages and inevitable euthanization of animals. If they don’t have a plan, ask them to sponsor the PRIME Act. HR 2859 / S 1620 !
