In others words we went from everything up to 11 March being Herd Immunity to realising that was a doomed plan to changing course from the 12 March. The Govt got it wrong and had been complacent.
It raises lots of questions
1) Did PHE get the ICU figures wrong?

The modelling always showed the numbers. There were lots of unknowns. Other countries took swifter actions. WHO were giving right advice. We were later on the path than other countries. It suggests we became blinkered to following Herd immunity.
The govt underestimated this virus and are not fit to govern. We have lost loved ones through incompetence, ideology & a believe they knew better. We put our health workers at risk.

I would also add that throughout from January to present, there have been many experts shouting about the Govt strategy being wrong. I hope at some point to weave this in, as you can imagine it will be a much longer thread. Experts, Scientists voices were being ignored.
