Here's the "honest graph" you won't see at tonight's press briefing. Compares the UK's coronavirus deaths with the rest of Europe at the same stage of their pandemic (lines start on day of 50 deaths as Day 0).

As you can see (red) we're doing the worst of any country, by far!

Here's the graph from the first tweet again. It's exactly the same as before, except that the lines are smoother and less jaggy. But the data underpinning it hasn't changed.
Takeaways
- The pandemic is global; every country has suffered.
- But there's a clear distinction in the UK. We haven't just done worse than average, we've done worse than every country except the USA.
- That takes a certain kind of special, and represents massive Tory failure.
