Locals is a subscription service, so I can't get blocked by an algorithm that favors content that advertisers find "safe."
I thank everyone who supported me with donations on the Patreon platform, but I ask you to discontinue that even if you do not sign up for Locals. I deeply appreciate the Patreon support but prefer providing something specific for the money. Locals allows that.
For context, I expect my Dilbert income to largely disappear in the next year as newspapers close up forever. The coronavirus sped up that inevitable trend. Like many of you, I'm reinventing my life for a post-coronavirus world. The Locals platform is a big part of that.
The Locals platform lets you listen to my daily Periscopes at faster play speeds, so I sound like Ben Shapiro on meth. Don't even pretend you don't want to hear that.
The Dilbert comic will still be at Dilbert.com. I might put some unpublished comics on Locals, but generally it will not feature the Dilbert comic because of contract limits.
I'm tentatively planning to put micro-lessons on different topics on Locals, such as how to write jokes, how to be a better writer, persuasion, systems versus goals, talent stacking, and more.
