When ever we r anxious people advise us to take a deep breath. Breathing exercise helps a lot to calm you down. Give 5 mins to your breathing exercise every day. I do it first thing in the morning. Learn to control your breath.
Take slow, deep, diaphragmatic breaths. Seat in a comfortable position - cross legged or lotus style or simply lie on your back with feet up. We need breathe into diaphragm and not into chest. Best is put your hands on your waist so when u breathe in you should feel the growth.
Focus on your breathing. Breathe in 3-6 seconds depending on your lungs capacity. Hold for a sec and breathe out in double the time. Do it 10-12 breathes. I do for 5 minutes. And with every breathe I express my gratitude to people who have touched my life.
This is the simplest and most effective way to lower stress and promote a more calm , relaxed and restful state. This will promote a positive mindset, clear thinking, sustained energy and good sleep. Give it a try.
