Believing Republicans will willingly, out of conscience or empathy, reward frontline workers or provide economic relief to anyone besides massive corporations is a fool’s game.

And this doesn’t mean public shaming as in giving a speech expressing concern. It’s time to call this what it is, Obama telling bank executives he’s the only thing between them and pitchforks. The Democratic Party needs to embrace cultural frustration and quit dancing around it.
The first “stimulus” package was a failure, a band-aid that Trump used as a narcissistic PR move and to funnel money to his friends and the wealthiest companies. People have to stop treating this as politics as usual. This is do or die time for the American people.
I have no idea what era politicos think we’re living in, but Republicans and Trump have no interest in helping anyone but themselves or acting in good faith. That ship is gone, and if any serious relief or reform is going to happen, and it absolutely must, tactics need to shift.
