Tax filings from @TheIntercept's parent company (projects.propublica.org/nonprofits/org…) show that "Senior National Security Correspondent" James Risen was paid $305,950 in 2018.

By my count, Risen wrote 18 pieces, so that's over $16,000 per column. The bulk of it was Russiagate fan fiction.

You'd think that if you're a serious news outlet, which not only brands itself as "fearless & adversarial" but solicits donations of readers' money, you might show some accountability when the guy you paid $305,950 to cover Russiagate turns out to be completely wrong. Nope.
When Mueller probe ended w/ zero indictments for collusion, and the Mueller report documented zero collusion, Risen blamed Trump & other mysterious forces. Easier than saying: "I was laughably wrong."
