New voices are welcome. Filmmakers especially. Critical voices are needed. But you can’t walk in,declaring yourself the speaker of the movement come to save it from corruption while getting the science wrong, misrepresenting the state of political play, and confusing the players.

The oil and gas industry, the banks that feed them, and the politicos who do their bidding are the opponents the actual movement has enjoined on the battlefield. We’ve sacrificed much, we are playing to win, and we know that neither “human nature” nor childbirth is our enemy.
Crying havoc and letting slip the oil and gas dogs to sic the climate justice movement is not truth-telling. It is cynical and profoundly damaging. Among other things.*
