While the title makes clear that the controversial Ramadan shows feature Jewish characters, the "critics" who denounce featuring Jewish characters as “normalization” with Israel are treated as entirely legitimate and their bigotry is studiously ignored.

One of the "critics" cited by the NYT is "prominent Palestinian journalist, Abdel Bari Atwan" who is presumably still hoping that Iran will nuke Israel.
And even a Hamas spokesman is cited as a - surely just anti-Zionist - "critic"...
Maybe the NYT could update their piece with this tweet from the Qatari rulers, denouncing 'Arab Zionists' and fantasizing that their god promised Jerusalem to the Muslims...
