We made lot of efforts to train people in martial arts. Got best trainers in world. But while there is craze for bodybuilding, our society doesn't value importance of self defense. Many feel that they can fight assailants just by copying Bollywood stunts.
We meticulously created library of common street attacks by kind of attackers we face in hate and lust crimes in India. But failed to convince youth to move from reel stunts to real stuff. Sad to see what happened to samaj whose even Goddess of wealth carries weapons.
We just focus on looks and show today. Weight loss and body building drives fitness industry. Or dealing with petty stomach issues. Yuddha kala which was always foundation of Hinduism has few takers today. That is why we keep being beaten and find solace in weeping victimhood.

Often we don't know Sanskrit word and hence replace it with Urdu. I better option would be to replace with English.
Because English word will most probably be derived from Sanskrit. But Urdu may be demeaning instead of meaning, due to its roots in invasion & brutality.

Aurat is among most vulgar abuses known to humanity. Means naked, dirty, disgusting, refers to private parts.
English word Woman comes from Vaamaa of Sanskrit.
Best is Stree who relieves society of misery.
Devi is of course Devi.

Martyr comes from Mrita of Sanskrit meaning who chose death for cause.

.@newslaundry accuses @OpIndia_com for mentioning location of temple as Chand Bagh in first (of two) reports instead of Moonga Nagar. Chand Bagh and Moonga Nagar are just a drain apart. Since Chand Bagh is a bigger locality, that is how many people refer to the place for ease.2/n
In fact entire media has referred to the place of Tahir Hussain's ominous building and Ankit Sharma's brutal murder as Chand Bagh. However, technically it is Khajoori Khas which is diagonal to Chand Bagh. Will now @newslaundry accuse every media house of fake reporting? 2/n
