I've had the joy and privilege of going behind locked doors in so many museums over the years, making dozens of programmes about archaeology and history. So I'm donating this virtual, personal collection to @profdanhicks' #MuseumsUnlocked archive...
Shelves of beautifully preserved longbows and combs behind the scenes at the @MaryRoseMuseum - from the first series of Digging for Britain back in 2010 - and outside the museum with my baby daughter at lunchtime!
An Anglo-Saxon skeleton from Raunds, on Time Team - with @HelenGeake and Margaret Cox
Filming with Amanda Clarke at Silchester for Digging for Britain series 2 - one of my favourite Roman sites in Britain. Can't wait to get back there and walk the walls again!
And another site that featured on Digging for Britain series 2: the epic Burrough hillfort
We visited Orkney in D4B series 1 - here I am with tiny daughter again - and the 5000-year-old Westray Wife, found at the Links of Noltland - now residing @westrayheritage
More Romans! Andrew Richardson from @CantArchTrust with a stamped tile from Folkestone Roman Villa in D4B series 2 @FolkestoneMus

More Orkney archaeology! And one of the objects I have been most excited to see so closely - the stunning dragon plaque from the Scar Viking boat burial @OrkneyMuseums followthevikings.com/visit/orkney-m…
And continuing with the Viking theme: the glittering Vale of York hoard - including a gold arm-band, a silver dirham from Samarkand, coins of Athelstan, all found in a gilded silver cup - liberated from its case at @YorkMuseumTrust
Examining Iron Age bog bodies - preserved in the peat - at @NMIreland for the Celts series (which I filmed with old friend and fellow Coaster @thecoastguy)
One of my favourite museums! Here I am, behind the scenes with finds from Stonehenge and Durrington Walls @SalisburyMuseum
In the Georgian House Museum in Bristol with Ronnie Archer Morgan @HouseGeorgian for Historic Towns (which you can watch on demand on @All4)
And the Welsh flag given to Captain Scott - flown on his ship the Terra Nova, and hoisted in Antarctica, before coming home to Cardiff (Channel 4 - Historic Towns - Cardiff episode) - with curator Ellen Phillips @Museum_Cardiff
And last but not least - one of THE most precious finds in the @JorvikViking Museum, featuring on Historic Towns! With thanks to all the archaeologists, museums and curators who have worked on these series through the years.
I wonder if @threadreaderapp will manage this one...
