While Bush's message was good, it does not mitigate his record which is one of torture, oppression, misogyny, racism, Katrina & two wars we are still in. Prior to his presidency, Bush had executed more people than any gov in US history. Bush was our worst president before Trump.
Oh and I forgot to add: Bush lobbied relentlessly for Brett Kavanaugh. RELENTLESSLY. Particularly to his good friend Susan Collins.

It is so fucking hard to go to police and report a sexual assault or rape. There is no Olivia Benson, there is no team that is going to track down your rapist and hold your hand while doing so. You are going to be made to feel like slutty scum who somehow brought it on herself.
So all you folks inventing narratives to push your political agenda? You are harming real victims. You are harming women who are already having to fight a misogynist patriarchal narrative that the real liars are women victims, not the men who rape us.

Power out from from the storm.
Oxygen machine out.
PECO has numerous outages.
Scared af.
The Wife is home safely. She says there is a gigantic tree down at the top of our block. That is the source of the outage. 😣😭 The PECO crew told her they will have to run a new line once the tree is removed.

I would love the universe to cut me a little slack for a bit.

Why are women tasked with responding to this?
Why not ask prominent Democratic men about this?
According to the FBI Crime Report, men represent 91% of those perpetrating sexual assault. Ask some men about the allegations since this is just a waddyathinkaboutit story.
I don't know who's assigning these stories or why any reporter's agreeing to do them, but the one person you want to ask about Tara Reade is Joe Biden. Not Emily's List, PP or any other group that will include myriad women who are rape survivors. This is targeting women. Stop it.
During the Anita Hill hearings I was asked by my editor at SPIN to write a piece insinuating Hill was a lesbian. Sen. Alan Simpson had referred to her "proclivities"--a widely used euphemism. I refused. I was told it would be a cover. I still refused. You CAN say no to this crap.
