Thread: Life after quarantine

"The Wonderful New Normal" - a theory
This theory is the positive side of the story

Not to negate the negatives

But to offer contrast to the constant doom and gloom speculations

Speculating on the positive end of the spectrum

Here's how good things are about to get....
All the points made tie in together and are observations of things already in motion

🔹1) Pandemic Allocation
This pandemic has served as a much needed wake up call for just how unprepared countries are to handle a pandemic

Proper resources and funding can now be allocated
In 25-100 years when a more lethal pandemic strikes, this less lethal one has given governments a wake up call

Without this wake up call, millions of lives would be lost in a more lethal pandemic

Proper infrastructure and preparation changes are now being made in response
🔹 2) Collective Consciousness
There's been a rise in collective consciousness

Out of routines and ruts

More time in thought. New questions, new content being viewed, new ideas explored

Especially in seasons of adversity. People seek new questions leading to growth/change
Paired with our next point, this leads to a very potent empowerment of the population

🔹 3) Gratitude
Quarantine has shifted perspectives.

Not taking friends for granted, work for granted, life for granted

Appreciation + elevated consciousness is a powerful combo
🔹4) Flagship Cities

Stores are shifting to mostly online. Closing smaller stores. The physical store funding I predict will go into flagship cities

No more highway strips with tons of stores

New mini cities with shops, restaurants, apartments, and beautiful scenery/activities
I believe these new flagship cities will become the new norm

Made extra 'beautiful' on purpose to attract people with social media friendly spots and atmosphere

Combined with elevated consciousness/appreciation these flagship cities will be very community driven
I lived in a similar community. There would be large group yoga on the grass in the middle of the shops and towns

Night-time social events and dancing. Farmers markets. Themed weeks

Less driving, more walking, more community

Which leads to our next point...
🔹 5) Industrial Habits Dissolve

-Flagship communities
-Not taking life/work and people for granted
-Elevated Consciousness

Notice how there's been less, ME ME ME social media flexing posts.
Industrial Individualism is dissolving, being forced to adapt to change for our new season

We get back more to our roots of being part of a community

Survival of The Fittest and the industrial revolution mindset of crushing the competition will become obsolete over time
🔑 Key Point: All the points above coming together

We realize collaboration is how we advance as a society

I think our competitive desires are best utilized in sport, hobbies, and competition to be better as people and as communities

Competing to create, innovate and for sport
Notice influencers, they collaborate. They cross pollinate subscribers/followers. Win/Win for everyone

Win/Win is the new world. Community.

Survival of the fittest....we've graduated past this. We live in an era of THRIVING and opportunity

United we stand, divided we fall
🔹 6) A Beautiful Earth

The earth has been given a chance to breathe

If flagship cities become the new norm. Brands shift to mostly online removing the smaller stores

There will be less pollution from less stores, less driving. New flagship cities built with cleaner energy
🔹 7) Integration with Artifical Intelligence

This may be controversial but...

Workforce Layoffs = opportunity to grow

I've lost everything twice, slept on a couch, been evicted, been fired.

I say this from understanding. Not trying to downplay a rough season of adversity
What I am saying is people laid off have been shined a light of opportunity

"Our finest hours often come right after our darkest hours"
"It's only after we've lost everything we're free to do anything"

The 2 times I lost everything it forced me to ask new questions & grow
My breakthrough years came right after losing everything, because it forced me to change and grow

I feel many people are going through this and it had to happen to force us to grow

Gaining new skills, learning trades, doing more complex higher level work

Because...
If we cultivate higher level skills & collaborate

We will be far more capable than artificial intelligence and robots

They will work in collaboration with us. Doing the smaller tasks and things we don't want to do

Freeing us to do the creative/bigger picture work
...and so there it is

Theory on "The Wonderful New Normal"
