WATCH: Shocking data confirms grave consequences of @BilldeBlasio singling out the Jewish comm for condemnation which unleashed avalanche of antisemitism.

311 data shows clearly social-distancing is citywide problem. Making the mayors dangerous tweet absolutely incomprehensible.
HAVE A LOOK AT THE TIMELINE:

On 4/28 Mayor De Blasio singled out “the Jewish Community” in an angry tweet about social-distancing violators:
His tweet generated a firestorm of activity, more than approx. 100x what his individual tweet engagement avg. is (300-400 likes/retweets/comments per post) and nearly 20x his entire daily avg:
At the same time that his engagement spiked around that tweet, one particular keyword spiked on Twitter along with “Jewish” - that term is “Hitler”
If there’s any doubt the two are related, here’s a sampling of some of the vicious antisemitic commentary that followed, both on his original tweet and on related stories:
Furthermore, the mayor insisted that enforcement of social distancing guidelines were being enforced equally across the city.

Does this look like equal enforcement (pic from Saturday)?
And apparently the rules don’t apply to the mayor himself:
Not only is there little enforcement in the parks where New Yorkers are gathering in large numbers and without masks, but rather than handing out summonses to maskless individuals as they did aggressively in Williamsburg and Boro Park, the NYPD and Parks Dept. handed out masks
In Williamsburg the NYPD gave summonses and offered NO MASKS:
While in the rest of the city:
If that isn't enough to demonstrate that something is amiss, have a look at 311 data on social-distancing complaints lodged between April 1 to May 2:
Here's a breakdown of that 311 data by zip code showing that the issue of social distancing is a problem EVERYWHERE IN THE CITY with almost no distinction among specific neighborhoods.
So why did the Mayor single out "the Jewish community" for public rebuke when the issue is citywide?

Why does he still fail to recognize that his words were not merely "hurtful" but have had immediate consequences on the state of antisemitic affairs?
At present, the time for sincere apologies has passed. The mayor must take full responsibility for his actions and take concrete steps to quash antisemitism when and where it arises.
We will welcome the sight of NYPD handing out masks to "the Jewish community" instead of summonses, threats, and rebuke.
