Abraham Lincoln was an absolute ghoul; the closest modern-day comparison is Assad from Syria. While the outcome of the U.S. civil war resulted in the liberation of the enslaved, this was to punish the rebellious slave owners & economically cripple their industries, not altruism.
Abraham Lincoln authorized the following:
- The mass incarceration of draftee refusers.
- The largest single U.S. execution of indigenous people.
- Military to shoot anti-draft protestors, using artillery.
- Forced impoverished migrants to the front lines of the war.
(cont..)
- The destruction of farmable land in the South to weaponize hunger.
- Burned and displaced entire towns to depopulate regions and punish rebels.
- Mass suppression of free speech, movement, and protest.

These are just of a few things a quick unbiased glance produces.
The point being; do not make gods out of men nor heroes out of endo-ideals. If you can't differentiate between reality and myth then you can't possibly make informed or critical assessments over your own governance.
If this thread produces anger or frustration it isn't because it's a "bad take" or "stupid" that's an opinion formed in your head as a safety mechanism to protect the endoreality you exist within and the idea of the endo-ideal you have been taught to believe in. Let's change.
