Here's what really riles me about the UK's handling of the coronavirus:
I genuinely believe with all my heart that the NHS is doing a fabulous job, and more. So far above and beyond, it's incredible!
But every single time our government lies, it taints that heroic effort.

It's like a team of chefs producing magnificent food, only for the serving staff to drop their trousers and "season" random dishes along the way, before serving them to diners.
The chefs start to become tainted by association, even though their own cooking is *flawless*.

But it's worse than that, because those pirate defecators claim success for everything the chefs do, even as they're undermining the latter's efforts day in, day out.
