I haven't yet seen any meaningful progress in transitioning towards a decarbonised world.

Also, the study seems to be based on 3C by 2070 which, given feedbacks, climate sensitivity, dimming and fossil fuel production plans, looks very much like our current trajectory to me.

Even moderate emissions cuts could see us hit 3C well before 2070 if the carbon cycle feedbacks and climate sensitivity don't go our way.

We're set for 2C well before 2045, and if it hits before 2035 (quite possible), my guess is we'll struggle to stay below 3C by 2070.

And..'too warm for human comfort'?!

Seems to me it would be impossible for humans to survive in any decent way if at all in these regions at 3C. We're talking searing heat as far as I can see, not discomfort.

And what about wildlife? Most animals won't cope in those conditions.
'the mean human-experienced temperature rise by 2070 will amount to an estimated 7.5 °C, about 2.3 times the mean global temperature rise'.
