Ok.. my last engagement with you here.

1. It is very myopically foolish to think Rajputs lived in Rajasthan only. The "battle of Rajasthan" is named so because it was the frontier. Gurjara-Pratiharas ruled entire northern and central India (and lived/spread there too)
2. Battle of Rajasthan was fought by entire Northern and Southern too (but to very small and limited extent) and there are Rajputs (or their descendants all across North and central India. Don't try to hijack Rajput identity by making it parochial.
3. There are many clans of Rajputs (parmars, Kadambas etc) who moved to south after north fell. Their names changed to Pawars, Kadams etc.

4. R C Dhere was not a maratha historian, but an anthropologist. Plus every serious modern historian accepts authenticity of Jedhe Shakavali
5. This attitude of hijacking an identity and locking it up in four-five districts of Rajasthan does a great disfavour to deeds of Rajputs (taken in erstwhile meaning). I would recommend that you desist from it.
6. Lastly, just like Maratha empire (actually it is Hindavi Swarajya) is not a Maharashtrian or Marathi (as in linguistic identity) entity, but a pan-Indian Hindu power of that era, same goes for Rajputs of that earlier era.

7. Rajput was not equal to and limited to Rajasthan.
PS - The biggest disservice that these modern fanboys do to our ancestors is to box them up in this post 1950 linguistic state identity construct

Thus Marathas become Marathi/Maharashtrian, Rajputs become Rajasthani, Sikhs became Punjabi-Jatts. And parochial pride overcomes rest
