The roof of this temple contains stone rafters copied from wooden temples to protect the roof from wind & rain (If a temple is made of stone, it really does not need rafters). 3/5
But during 17th century, Lad Khan, a general of Adhil Shahi, camped in this temple during his military campaigns in the region & thus comes the name “Lad Khan”
They have just named it Lad Khan temple forgetting the great Chalukyas and to whom the temple is dedicated. 4/5

They could have simply named it after the Iconographical evidences as Shiva Temple or Vishnu Temple.
