Legislators and the governor all share a mission to keep residents healthy and safe. Expecting the governor to work with the Legislature to determine what is best for our state is good government, plain and simple. #mileg

Our response to the outbreak must be deliberate and based on consensus – which requires coordination between the governor and Legislature. The people expect the branches of their state government to work together at all times – especially during emergencies. #mileg

We are not saying the COVID-19 crisis is over. The Legislature has been hard at work, and we stand ready and willing to help manage the state’s response to the physical and economic well-being of the citizens of Michigan during this crisis. #mileg
