2) wasted billions. This was the "Gilded Digital Age". Covid-19 marks the end of this era, marked by that fraud, loose VC money and jackass entrepreneurs who dreamed of "exits" before even creating a viable business.
3) Today represents one of the GREATEST OPPORTUNITIES for digital entrepreneurs to make real money. Why? We're seeing the implosion of online media companies & WITH THIS the utter collapse of media rates. It has never been cheaper to market products online directly to consumers.
4) Rates on high profile websites have plummeted up to 80% as fewer advertisers are spending. Plus, if you are willing to spend, media companies will give make goods if you buy direct. A make good is when media does not perform as anticipated.
5) Advertising decreased in the Great Depression but those industries that had the ability to advertise for selected products (Cars, sugar, flour) grew wildly in the 30s. We have so many online media properties that are on life support. Many will not survive.
6) The loss of most of these media companies who have been part of the systemic fraudulent ecosystem will be no great loss to humanity but NOW IS THE TIME to benefit from these rates. There is a digital media squeeze. If you are on the right side of a squeeze, this is opportunity
7) And when you buy media driving traffic to your site to sell *stuff*, make sure you capture as many emails and SMS text subscribers to build your own database. Data is media and if you own it, future marketing has zero marginal costs.
