This is really sinister. If Facebook can do this, there's a meaningful problem with the First Amendment. Not "bozos screaming 'I've been censored' because Private Entity X didn't give me a private platform,' but political opposition literally unable to get their message out.
This needs to become a lawsuit and then a Supreme Court case. We need some sort of understanding about what Facebook is and what speech rights are in the age of the Internet, and if we decide they shouldn't exist anymore, let's say so openly.
As I've said in the context of other countries, repressing speech and then insisting you have free speech just makes people stupid. If you're going to censor speech, make the rules clear: "We have free speech for Category A, but we do not have free speech for Category B."
