Three follow-ups to the BVerfG judgment: 1) by the ECJ. Nothing new. Except stating it.
2) Vastly more significant: by the German government. This is highly significant and probably overstated by the FT. But roughly speaking: this is on us. We’ll find a way.
I agree on ‘there’s a way’, but yes. IMHO an ECB statement seems not unlikely.
3) What about an infringement action against Germany? Commission sources in the same FT article (you can almost here the sigh) roughly said let us study it first.
(Let me add: it is LONG. And full of German humour.
