Barr saying "history is written by the winners" is the best argument for beating Trump in November. It's a promise to normalize these abuses & dismiss all accountability.
The Trump admin's handling of Flynn feels very familiar. Autocrats always want to hide behind protocol to avoid personal responsibility, give appearance of following the law. Trump was too chicken to pardon him.
Flynn wasn't tripped up on a technicality or for lying about a personal matter. He was caught making promises to the Russian ambassador and could have faced far more serious charges had he not pleaded guilty. Now perhaps he should.
