This team of scrappy mofos has stared down: debunked conspiracies, impeachment trials, and a primary with more candidates than we had digital staff! And now, while the campaign made sure it wasn't overextending itself, they held the line of a pandemic-induced virtual campaign.
These folks are working around the clock, doing the hard work of saving our democracy from Donald Trump — and #takes aside, are making me proud every day. And now it's time to grow.
Biden Team digital is scaling.....fast. Really fast. Like we're going to double the team in a matter of weeks….and then keep on growing. It's....going to be insane and my palms are literally sweating rn thinking about it!!!!
We're building a data-driven content team with the best from in and out of politics. A team that will engage with (and build) enthusiastic online communities, and a team that will mobilize our grassroots supporters and donors. But we'll need help. So we're calling in the best...
@k8thegr8est (LFG!) has signed on to be a senior advisor for this massive scaling effort. She's going to help us think through the structures that will make us successful, build a mobilization-forward strategy, and recruit the people who will power our in-house team.
Video is how we campaign right now -- and creative video is how you win. So I'm over the MOON to be bringing on @andrewgauthier -- who ran content for Kamala after helming Buzzfeed Video (and creating Tasty!) -- to lead our campaign's integrated video operation.
And then @RobynKanner is joining to lead our visual brand planning, but also, importantly, designing A FRESH, NEW WEBSITE!!! Robyn was my partner in crime on Beto, but before that she was at Google. And amazon. And shes in a band with the drummer of no doubt (??)
@TheDemocrats have spent years building infrastructure to help the nominee who, say, might not have had the chance to build years of infrastructure. So we're going to work directly with their mobz team to round out our grassroots team! hello @stevensonpj @hkreid @_clarkekent
There's a (lot!) more to come....which of course I will share with you. But here's what I'll say: we're gonna run a creative-first, data-driven program that centers community and the grassroots supporters who have powered our campaign. And we'll do it with empathy, and compassion
