As I said for the media and journalists: if the gov‘s repression has become so intensive to the extent that you cannot even do what the society expects of you why the hell sticking to journalism? Why not quit and find some other vocation? The same applies to those in CSOs.
Y’know the funny thing about liberal elites and activists is that they’d rather use all of their energy to criticize the gov but fail to direct even a portion of this criticism to themselves. This is the fact. Everywhere. And they’re not even ashamed of themselves!
The concept of self-criticism is alien to our beloved liberal “activists.” If one call out their failure, they’ll cook up every imaginable excuse in an attempt to justify their (in)actions and vilify a person calling them out.
But we will call you guys out. If that will make you angry, go ahead and burn your offices down. You can’t just sit your ass here claiming to work for the people while in fact you’re willing to trade off the people to keep your selfish interests active!
If the media/journalists & the CSOs/NGOs stood up against the inept Magufuli Adm since this pandemic started, a lot of lives could’ve been saved.

The history teaches us that: repression works only to strengthen and knit the repressed. But not here in Tanzania. Here, unfortunately, repression works in differently: it weakens and disorganize the repressed.
