PLATEAU STATE COVID-19 UPDATE: LALONG TASKS CITIZENS ON COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION.

Governor Simon Bako Lalong says as Plateau State records more COVID-19 Cases, it is clear that the State is witnessing community transmission arising from the earlier cases.
At this point, he strongly appeals to Citizens to abide by guidelines relating to social distancing, use of face masks, personal hygiene, and handwashing. He asks the people to as much as possible to stay at home to avoid contacting the virus and transmitting it.
The Governor reiterates that the Government is working hard to ensure that further spread is stopped while the importation of the virus from other States is also curtailed.
This according to him explains the determination to enforce inter-State and inter-Local Government border closure to address this situation.

2. In that address, I announced the relaxation of the total lockdown from Midnight of Thursday 23rd April 2020 to 12th Midnight of Sunday 26th April 2020 to enable people again re-stock their homes. Accordingly, the total lockdown resumed this Monday 27th April 2020.
