*Speaker of the HoR adamant, did not schedule a hearing
*Senate motu propio (unprecedented) conducted its own hearing
*In the hearing, ABS-CBN executives air their sides and even apologized if it caused undue harm or hurt the president's feelings

*The president accepted the apology; or did he?
*A hearing in the Congress followed w/ NTC under oath gave assurance to allow the network to operate beyond the expiration of its franchise while pending application
*In the hearing, NTC agreed to issue a provisional authority

*This is not to mention, that there is an NTC directive of a 60 days extension for all pending and about to expire franchise due to the pandemic
*May 5, 2020: the NTC issued a cease-and-desist order against ABS-CBN

*Day before the cease & desist order, SolGen warned NTC that they can be liable for graft on the issue of the provisional authority
*It was was confirmed when a reporter from ABS-CBN exposed that a 14-page letter from SolGen was sent to NTC, five days before the order

Now the important part: The cease and desist order (May 5) from the NTC is giving the network 10 days to reply as to why the franchise should not be deemed as no longer valid and WHY THE FREQUENCY should not be given to other INTERESTED PARTY/ies.
