If we're going this far down in the weeds on the Flynn filing, interesting that unnamed source would attribute cut-and-paste oversight to line prosecutor when metadata shows Shea's chief of staff creating the document. Also I'd like to see versions 1-3 cnn.it/2WlinUG
I mean if we're doing radical transparency, let's lean into it, people! Let it all hang out!

Also, as @kpolantz notes, Shea isn't even admitted to USDCDC bar. Looks like he could file without joining but he's supposed to submit various certifications before filing anything.
@kpolantz Anyway, @JusticeOIG report on all this will be rad when it comes out in December 2021

Quick update on staffing for Stone hearing. Cooney and Crabb are taking point but Marando, who withdrew but didnt quit, is also in gallery along w Gaston from Craig/McCabe
Also Max Mishkin from Ballard Spahr to argue for media for access to juror related hearing
So you've probably seen judge will do audio-only in closed courtroom for juror hearing on Stone case. She also at least 3 times invoked Trump tweets about the jury for putting the jurors at risk

Morning from US District Court in DC where where @dsamuelsohn and I are standing by for sentencing of longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone, whose case unleashed a furor at the Justice Department last week following an unusual intervention by Attorney General Bill Barr....
@dsamuelsohn Not much to say yet as it hasn't begun but folks may recall the 4-man prosecution team quit last week w/1 prosecutor leaving government altogether. The newly-assigned prosecutors are JP Conney and John Crabb, no.1 and no.2 in the public corruption & fraud part of DC US atty ofc
@dsamuelsohn Might be of interest to some that also present but presumably not arguing is Molly Gaston, another prosecutor in that division who handled Andrew McCabe probe and Greg Craig trial

Some new details here on Barr/Trump/Stone saga: Barr has kept mum about prior convos w/Trump but a source says before today's public pushback, Barr repeatedly privately asked Trump to stop tweets about DOJ matters... politi.co/2SnoHsB
Also more tick-tock here on how original Stone sentencing recommendation got filed. A DOJ official says Shea opposed it, but caved after prosecution team threatened to drop out of case if govt didn't seek 7-to-9 guidelines sentence...
Also if you look at that original filing, there are tips of the hat to Stone's arguments for leniency. It talks about him deserving 'a period of incarceration,' which sounds like no-probation, not really 7-to-9. bit.ly/2OTyTae
