More detail from yesterday's idea - how many tests to find 1 positive case? Thx again to @twang0518

Here's data for the US. It takes almost 10 tests to find 1 positive now - used to take below 5. This is progress!

But the picture isn't the same nationwide. 1/

Regionally, the South, Southwest, and West are up over 15 tests/positive. New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Mid-West are below 10.

Clear ramp up for most regions as testing became more available. What about specific states? @alexismadrigal @kissane

Even more disparate outcomes at this level. In MN and NE, the test/positive has fallen drastically (while testing is up). Not a good sign.

Flip side, FL & MI are encouraging. In TN, it takes over 30 tests to find a positive - that's great! @CT_Bergstrom
