A lesson in projection.

I was reading up on blog posts about the retraction of Stephen Gliske's paper in eNeuro and came across this choice comment on retractionwatch.com's site by Oren Amitay.

1/
Like Marni, like Tabatha, and like many others, the only interactions I've had with Amitay have been him--a psychologist--posting comments on my timeline in which he tried to tell me that I am mentally very ill.

That is his idea of an argument.

2/

To return to projection.

Amitay leads his comment with "ideology appears to have trumped science." But I've not seen much from him besides enacting his strong, misogynist, transphobic views enacted in spats with other researchers. I've not seen researched discourse from him. 3/
He continues that the whole wide world of "health professionals, academics, scientists, educators, policy makers and others seem to kowtow" to a, listen to this, "small but extremely vocal and very well-organized group". Uh-huh. Sure sure.

A small, networked group like this? 4/
Or, a perhaps a tiny bit bigger. Like this? 5/
We might ask, in Amitay's words: how many fields are they trying to overtake in this manner? 6/
