Let it be clear: Trump is a coward and a failure. He had the might, wealth and genius of America at his command. He failed to respond, failed to listen or learn as other leaders showed the way. He lies and whines and blames others as thousands die. Finish him.
God willing, Trump will be remembered only as an aberration and a cautionary tale on the fragility of democracy even in its greatest sanctuary. His vile values and venal actions cleansed by a wiser and involved American citizenry.
Trumpism will be beaten back by the ideals of America it so despises: a free society that is safe for all; a refuge for people and customs from around the globe; the rule of law; the openness of commerce; the freedom to think, speak, and achieve.
