Just 6 months ago @piersmorgan was questioning ecosystem collapse and telling the world that @GretaThunberg is a melodramatic hypocrite who is intensely preoccupied with a narrow subject.

Something to remember when you're praising his Covid-19 reporting.

Morgan is good at making himself appear reasonable and balanced, but it isn't so hard to see what he's doing in this reprehensible article. He admits climate change is 'dangerous', but won't accept how terrible the danger is, or even discuss system change.

The process of ecosystem collapse is underway. The Great Barrier Reef is set to die by 2029 or soon after. The Amazon Rainforest is at it's tipping point now and it is highly likely it won't survive in it's current form, with collapse by 2029-2049 possible.insideclimatenews.org/news/07042020/…

I think it would help if climate scientist-journalists of a ecomodernist/green capitalist persuasion spent time discussing the increasingly likely projection of ~2C by 2035 (and the implications) instead of framing discussion with the idea that we can stay below 1.5C (or 2C)!

How many scientists reject the idea that 2C leads inevitably to 3C sooner or later? I genuinely wouldn't know.
