Good morning, Shapiro School students! We've just posted the current events discussion for week 8, about where our food comes from. Check back later for the video introducing the topic for week 9!

If this thread is the first you've heard of #ShapiroSchool, I'm teaching my 5th grade niece & nephew in Seattle #homeschool current events classes with contributions from friends, and we're posting all the lessons at shapiroschool.org to help meet your #homeschooling needs!
The format is: Every Mon. I post a video introducing the week's topic, w background readings. Your kids ask Qs on twitter, w the hashtag #ShapiroSchool. Thursdays, we record a lesson w Daisy & Eli that includes your Qs. We post it at shapiroschool.org a few days after that!

If you're just hearing of #ShapiroSchool, I'm posting homeschool classes w my 5th grade niece & nephew in Seattle on youtube for any parents & kids who want to use them. Guest teachers have included an astronaut, an egyptologist, an opera singer...all at shapiroschool.org.
