The combo of these 3 pieces about DOJ dropping the Flynn charges is astounding. I've never seen anything like it

As I said last week, because Barr dismissed the charges, DOJ is hoping that there will be no forum to test whether their allegations about misconduct re Flynn are true. But the Judge presiding over the case still can investigate--it's the last place. END nytimes.com/2020/05/08/opi…

This Tuesday, the Supreme Court will hear 2 major cases about whether President Trump can keep his financial records secret from Congress and NY prosecutors

The Court is making history & releasing live audio, and George Conway (@gtconway3d) & I will cover it live, on IG live
We will start at 9:45 AM before the 10am argument, and walk folks through what arguing at SCOTUS is like. Both of us have argued there, and are eager to share our experiences with folks who want to learn about what this institution is all about.
We will pipe the audio of the argument in, and have a rolling text discussion where we explain what is going on, and analyze what is being said.

Please everyone read this from Zeke Emanuel. We need pressure brought on Washington to do what he says. It's thoughtful and the best way to protect the economy is decisive action now. Let's not waste time.

V thoughtful post about the difficult choice the Supreme Ct has in trying to decide whether to go ahead with oral arguments next week

I'm a deep believer the Supreme Court should televise and provide immediate audio of its proceedings. But I recognize...

that at least some members of the Court are worried about either. I think if the Court did release immediate audio in this unique situation, it wouldn't and shouldn't set a precedent once things return to a more normal footing...
They should feel free to do what is appropriate here without fear that it will force their hand down the road in less extreme circumstances, and those of us like me who have views on this in ordinary times shouldn't use this decision, made under extreme circs, as a precedent.
