Chinese helicopters have flown close to the Line of Actual Control but not crossed it. We have deployed fighter aircraft to Ladakh: Aajtak TV channel reports quoting "top Indian government sources".
Helicopters are a usual form of transport for the militaries of both india and China along the Himalayan frontier normally. They do not venture within a specified limit of the LAC as per mutual confidence building measures.

The logic for/against deploying fighter jets to Ladakh is complex. Aircraft taking off from Leh normally do not carry optimum load that burns more oxygen/fuel because of rarefied climes. But there are regular sorties from the plains -- Chandigarh, Bareilly, for example.
Ajay Banerjee @ajaynewsman of The Tribune reports the stand-off on the north bank of the Pangong Lake in Eastern Ladakh is continuing and could escalate:

The Pangong Tso is a disputed lake on the frontier. It sees frequent transgressions by either side. There is a protcol that either side follows when their patrols, even on water, come face-to-face.

There is a reason why physical features in parts of the disputed frontier with China are identified as 'Finger' and often numbered.
In E.Ladakh, on the north bank of the Pangong Tso they are spurs, like upturned fingers of the human hand that roll down to the water.

In North Sikkim it is a slice of Indian territory that juts into the Tibetan Plateau; it is also called just 'Plateau'
In the above picture, the border in North Sikkim is marked by the dot-dash black line. The scribble is mine.

In Ladakh, if disputes threaten to escalate, Indian/Chinese military officials usually meet here at Spanggur Gap (picture by me). This year, a planned ceremonial Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) was cancelled.
The meeting is held by convention on May 1 every year, International Workers' Day.
Indian Army @adgpi official statement:
1) Incidents of face-off and aggressive behaviour occur on LAC (Line of Actual Control)
2) Patrols disengage after local level interaction and dialogue ...cont'd
Indian Army official statement (Cont'd)...
3) Temporary and short duration face-offs occur as boundary is not resolved
4) Troops resolve such incidents mutually as per established protocols ...cont'd
Indian Army @adgpi official statement (Cont'd)...
5) Media speculation and hype based on unsubstantiated statements be avoided. (official statement ends).

The current status of the situation on the ground is yet to be known.
BREAKING : Indian Army @adgpi spokesperson Col. Aman Anand: "I clarify that there is no continuing face-off at the Pangong Tso. There is no build-up of armed troops in the area."
