Failsworth Independents in Oldham stocking up for their daily deliveries to vulnerable people. They’ve started a weekly fish and chip run. Last week they found an old lady who lives on her own sat waiting for them, saying the thought of it had got her through another week alone. 
Sometimes, even the smallest things can make a huge difference for our elderly.
One of the gentleman the group visited was Eric. He’s been a widow and lived alone since 1996. He’s shielding as he’s in a high risk group. He says without the food parcels and five mins of company the deliverer provides “I don’t know what would have happened to me.”
Eric is is a really talented painter. He’s been painting even more than usual to pass the time. He had so many he wanted to give the whole crew a painting for free. We bought one each. Cheap at twice the price.
