I just heard that the #PaycheckGuaranteeAct will cost 650 billion over 6 months. THATS IT?!? And Pelosi has the gall to nickel and dime when it comes to the working class while shelling out TRILLIONS to the wealthy and major corporations? I’m just at a loss here.
I don’t understand what either party has to gain destroying the middle and working class of this country right now. Is the US so far gone that they can just let us all rot and die and fear no repercussions at all? The fix is simple. Dozens of other countries have already done it.
And by bailing out billionaires and big corporations over regular people, they are ensuring a major and long-term economic depression in which the US will likely never recover. Barring some miracle of progressive leadership and a major overhaul, this feels like the end.
Regardless of who wins in November, we are screwed. I don’t think our brains can even process the magnitude of how unbelievably fucked we are and how unbelievably little our government is doing to staunch the sucking chest wound that is our society right now
