And since they want to be so loud-mouthed about about their defiance, they're doing a great job at keeping people at home and further tanking the economy. Because why risk getting spit on, inhaling way more germs than necessary, etc.?
When weighing the benefits of some really good fried chicken against being hooked up to a ventilator for weeks and weeks (*if there IS a ventilator*) courtesy some loud mouth making a point, I think most people will choose to stay home.
If we could reasonably expect: testing, tracing, and a general compliance with hygiene such as mask wearing and distancing, then yeah - going out for pickup, or whatever, wouldn't feel as scary.
