The version is my book is twice as long. I interviewed not only Mano, but also Sione - the oldest of the six. Spoke to both of them this week, and they're really happy with everything that's happening.
A big part of my book, also in another chapter about Easter Island, is devoted to the the horrible Pacific slave trade.
And the whole idea that Peter Warner tried to financially benefit from the story, and not share with Mano, is totally ridiculous. In my book I explain that the Channel 7 documentary was a failure. And I tell that Peter and the six survivors became really good friends.
In fact, in the full version of the story, I focus on Peter and Mano's friendship. Today, nearly 50 years later, they still have a very deep bond. Or in Mano's words: 'He's like a father to me. '
